I have always wanted to learn Chinese and have tried and failed (but i do know quite a few words), so I thought what better way to learn than include it to some of my work.
For the commitment project, I wanted to make some New York Style Chinese boxes. The reason being, straight away its assosiated with containing Chinese food. On the outside of the box, I wanted to make the Chinese simple and rememberable. I used key words such as, 'Hello, How are you?, Help, Airport etc''.
On the boxes below, you will see the English word at the top, the phonetic and then the Chinese Character. Was actually quite fun making these and quite hassle free!
And yes, I have learnt more Chinese since this project...
Shear Shear (thank you in Chinese)
I am actually really happy with the results of my Chinese boxes. It has helped me learn (part of the point), looks good and is useful. Wish that some Chinese people could give me their feedback on it - shame about the internet censoring! NORTY CHINESE GOVERNMENT!
Cheers guys...Dont forgot to pop back and visit my new page, 'The Ruff'.
